What Can You Do At Home?
There are many activities which you can do at home to help your child.
IXL- Each child has an IXL log in. Each Monday they will be given a selection of the objectives to complete during that week. Please note that the questions will include the objectives taught in their previous year. This allows them to consolidate their skills an identify any gaps in their understanding.
Reading- Please see the attached question sheet. By asking your child these comprehension questions when you hear them read will enhance their understanding and exploration of the text.
Spelling- Below is the Year 3-4 statutory spelling word list. By the end of Year 4 children should be able to correctly identify, spell and use these words in their writing.
Hand Writing- As a school we follow the Write Path handwriting approach. Children must be able to correctly form and join their letters. Letters must sit neatly on the line and be of appropriate size. Please ensure that children follow this approach when writing at home.
Times Tables- Times Tables Rockstar is a fun and engaging way for children to practice their times tables at home.
